A Little Bit About Me
Hi! My name is Alyssa Olsen and I would love for you to get to know me!
I am a junior at Boise State University, currently working on my Creative Writing undergrad degree. I'm hoping, my long-term degree goal, is to become an author but also to help other authors with publishing their books and/or helping them edit their stories. I feel being able to help others as well as yourself will bring a good outcome for everyone.
I am at a very young age with so much time ahead of me but I want to pursue and learn as much as possible. I don't have many priors or much published, but I had prior writing experiences when I was in high school. In my English class, one option for an assignment was to add a scene to the existing play we were studying. Something close to playwriting. It has influenced my passion for writing with the feedback I received from peers and teachers.
As for me, I am very passionate about romance and fantasy genres while learning the publishing world and its process. I see myself contributing to these areas by offering different story ideas for others' opinions on what they think, and whilst learning the publishing process, ask different questions and offer other options towards publishing to know what will be the most effective.
I hope to learn all the different types of editing, proofreading, and publishing skills/techniques. I am super excited to be here and to learn everything there is to know!
