A Little Bit About Me
I’m currently a student at LoanStar College in pursuit of an Associate’s degree in English. While it’s only my first year, I’ve been learning about creative writing through seminars and free classes online for five years. I’ve learned from authors of all genres how to create a compelling story as well as their publishing journey. This inspired me to explore the different departments and jobs in the publishing world.
After starting school, I realized I needed something more than school to get me a career. The Alpha Book Publisher Internship was a perfect way to gain experience and connect with other writers on a personal level. Their goal to create more diversity in books aligns with my desire to make an impact on the next generation of authors. I expect to learn how to navigate through a publishing company as well as lend a hand to authors who share the same passion. I aspire to be a talented author, but more importantly, I strive to see a world with all kinds of books.
Soon I will be running a platform dedicated to authors like me, who didn’t know where to start. Breaking into the publishing scene is difficult, but not impossible because I will be helping everyone who feels like they don’t have anything to start.
