A Little Bit About Me
My name is Cameron Zeo. I am a senior at the University of Central Florida working toward my Bachelor’s in English Literature. I knew I wanted to work in the publishing field prior to seeking this degree, but after taking the majority of my courses, I am confident this is the industry I am meant to be in. This internship will help me hone my skills and provide a new opportunity for me to gain experience in the publishing industry. I am looking forward to seeing the process of a manuscript becoming a novel and learning the techniques and methods for editing.
My future career goal is to become an editor at a publishing house. I would prefer to work in the genres of fiction, fantasy, or thrillers, but I am open to working in other genres. In the past, I completed a publishing internship that allowed me to provide commentary for developmental edits and overall potential for manuscripts. I really enjoyed working with plot and characters and in the future I plan to work primarily with substantive edits.
