A Little Bit About Me
My name is Destiny Coplen and I have a bachelor’s degree in Creative Media and Film. Throughout my four years in college I spent the majority of my time learning everything about the stages of film production, how to critique media, and how to create projects of my own. I have always had a passion for writing and wanted to try out many different formats that reach different audiences. At my core, I have always wanted to share stories with others and bring them happiness. Inspired by my passion, I minored in English and took a variety of creative writing classes that strengthened my voice and determination.
As I completed my degree, I learned of other areas of interest I excelled in while some I did not. It was no surprise that I preferred the writing, planning, presenting, and discussing aspects in projects rather than the production. This influenced my desire to one day become a published author, and to learn the process of publishing to get closer to my goal.
I graduated one year after the pandemic hit America, making it very hard to secure any type of job in my career field. I live in a small town that barely has any media companies, and any remote jobs I tried for never responded or went with another candidate with more experience. My confidence was beginning to waiver when I decided to research internships that were related to writing, when I stumbled across Alpha Book Publisher. I was immediately drawn in by the flexibility of hours, the possibility of getting a piece of my own work published, and the opportunity to learn more about the publishing field. This experience will add to my resume and show future employers my capabilities and interests, making me a stronger candidate. I’m hoping that through this internship I will become even more inspired to pursue a position in the publishing field, whether it be an assistant, editor, or even agent. I want to help others reach their writing dreams, and improve my own understanding for myself.
The genre I am most intrigued by is fantasy, and the majority of my projects revolve around it. As a girl who grew up in a different life, fantasy has been my escape from the hardships and has motivated me to keep going. I wish that my own stories will help others through their own turmoils, and bring smiles to their faces.
Security Patrolling is a critical aspect of maintaining safety and order in various environments, from residential areas to commercial properties. It involves trained security personnel regularly monitoring specific areas to deter criminal activities, identify potential security breaches, and ensure the overall safety of the premises.
