Devon Burton Intern at Alpha Book Publisher

Elizabeth's Bio

Hello! My name is Elizabeth Omoh, a graduate of biochemistry from the University of Benin. Despite my scientific background, I have always had a passion for writing, which I fully embraced during the lockdown by diving into writing, editing, and proofreading. This journey led to the publication of my first official work, a recipe cookbook, in 2020. Currently, I work as an Editor at Legacy Publication, where I contribute to refining manuscripts and ensuring they are polished and professional. With a keen eye for detail, I’ve found that my strength lies in spotting even the smallest errors in manuscripts. I’ve turned this talent into a calling, helping authors—whether in nonfiction or clean fiction—perfect their work and achieve their vision. My goal is to elevate each project I handle, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and professionalism.

Having worked on close to 100 projects, I’ve developed solid expertise in manuscript editing, proofreading, and content creation especially in the nonfiction genre. My experience enables me to maintain the author’s unique voice while offering constructive feedback that enhances readability and engagement. I am proficient in industry-standard tools such as Microsoft Word and Grammarly, which ensure timely delivery of high-quality, error-free content.

Looking forward, my ambition is to start my own publishing company, expanding my expertise beyond editing. By gaining more experience through internships, continuous learning and getting certifications, I am working toward providing comprehensive publishing services that support authors in every step of their journey, from editing to publication.
