A Little Bit About Me

I am a current student at the University of Chicago, where I am pursuing a degree in Creative Writing and English. My academic journey, full of enriching courses with content ranging across centuries of literature, has been instrumental in shaping my deep appreciation for reading, writing, and the meticulous process of revision. My classes and studies have fueled my passion for storytelling and honed my skills in crafting compelling narratives.

The inspiration to pursue an internship with Alpha Book Publisher stems from my aspirations to build a career in the publishing field. This hands-on experience is a crucial step towards gaining valuable insights and knowledge in the publishing industry. My expectations for this internship include furthering my understanding of the publishing process, refining my editing skills, and developing a more profound appreciation for the written word.

I am particularly passionate about fiction literature, with a specific interest in the romance genre. My extensive knowledge of popular romance books positions me to contribute meaningfully to the publishing industry in this area. I believe in the magic of books and their ability to shape perspectives, and I am eager to play a role in bringing well-crafted stories to readers.

Looking ahead, my long-term career goal is to become an editor and publisher. My prior experience as a research assistant and editor for a published author focused on female inequality in the workplace has deepened my appreciation for non-fiction literature.
