Kaeli's Bio
My name is Kaeli Arceo, and I am studying at Grand Valley State University to become an editor in the publishing community. I am working toward my major in English and my minor in Environmental and Sustainability Studies. In my college career, I discovered a growing interest in the syntax, morphology, and pragmatic aspects of linguistics. My goal through the internship with Alpha Book Publisher is not only to gain a better understanding of the publishing world, but I also wish to explore areas of new interests. I am looking forward to learning multiple areas of the publishing process through this internship, and I am especially interested to learn more about editing. I am currently studying English, but I am also pursuing a minor in Environmental and Sustainability Studies. Because of the combination, my hope is to work with authors who advocate for improving the environment and raising awareness of climate change through works of literature. Through my education, I am networking and acquiring the necessary humanity skills to further the impact of environmental literature.
It is my goal to apply my writing and editing experience from the English courses I have taken to my publishing career. Through my education in English and Environmental and Sustainability Studies, I will combat climate change through the means of environmental literature. Communication is important for change, and it is important to convey the message successfully to productively encourage change.
