A Little Bit About Me
Hello, my name is Lauren Chavez. I am a graduate from the University of Colorado Denver with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a certificate in technical and professional writing. Since I was a child I have had a passion for reading, film making, and crafting fictional worlds.
From the time I was young I was an avid daydreamer, and after I entered school I quickly developed a deep passion for reading and writing. It did not take long until I was writing near daily, often sharing or even collaborating on projects with my friends. After I began high school, the time I had to write creatively on my own became more limited, but I maintained a deep love and dedication for my projects. During this time my interest in film and film making also began to develop, and I grew invested in it as another form of storytelling.
I am primarily interested in adult fiction, with a particular passion for the genres of: horror, sci-fi, thrillers, historical biographies, and fantasy. I hope to one day become an editor for a publishing house so that I may help guide authors through the publishing and storycrafting process.
