A Little Bit About Me
I hold a high school diploma and am currently pursuing a major in Creative Writing at the University of Minnesota, with concentrations in Fisheries and Wildlife, Cultural Studies and Comparative Literature, and Creative Writing. My college courses have provided me with the opportunity to explore various forms and experimental topics, allowing me to challenge conventional writing rules and genres.
I am eager to gain as much experience as possible before graduating. An inside look at the book publishing industry could determine my career path, helping me decide which of my passions to pursue. I am enthusiastic about learning the entire process of writing and publishing to aid me in my future endeavors.
I am interested and most familiar with screenplay writing, however, I would like to venture out into other genres. Perhaps, I will integrate environmental topics into my writing through literary nonfiction. When I studied abroad in the Galápagos Islands, I constantly wrote about the beauty of nature and would enjoy further pursuing this genre.
