I really like to read the SMDP. Lots of interesting articles very often. And compared to other local newspapers I find them the "go to" newspaper. I always pick 1 up where they have them available.
This publisher Ross Furukawa publishes anything for pay. He cannot be reasoned with and is now reported to the DA and attorney general as several local residents and their families including children are endangered and abused with his completely false articles.
He runs a free paper with little circulation, so he has no choice but to be the trashiest paper in the local city of Santa Monica.
We are getting the DA and attorney general to investigate this guy and how he causes damages to innocent residents for pay by anyone vindictive.
Needs to be shut down. Requested California Attorney General and DA to investigate with consumer and criminal complaint.
I chose SMDP to publish my Dba for my business and what I thought would be a quick, smooth, and easy process because someone had referred me; it turned out to be an extended NIGHTMARE. (The payment transaction was the only thing that went well.) They made edits to my Dba information without my permission and didn't tell me, until the state rejected my submission and they were told to fix it. It took 4 times as long to fix it due to staff ghosting me when I called and my paper being handled by multiple people in the office. In addition, the employees are rude, unresponsive, do not follow up with you, they are unaware of procedures and make multiple mistakes. DO NOT USE Santa Monica Daily Press if you are a business owner. You DO NOT want to be MISHANDLED.
p.s. What ever happened to good Customer Service and asking customers before you change their legal documents?
