My daughter loved attending her Graphic Novel camp. We signed her up for another session.
Kids with Pens, the summer camp programming from Girls with Pens, remains one of our son's favorite day camps each year. The variety of programming is excellent, and each summer is a fresh round of great content and opportunities to connect with other young writers. Carolyn Cohagan and her colleagues keep kids engaged and inspire each student to soar to new heights in their writing.
We're also especially grateful for their ability to pivot from in-person to virtual camp in light of public health concerns during COVID-19.
My daughter doesn't typically enjoy writing but she did in this camp!!! Loved it and even continued on with the story after the camp ended. She had a great time and was really motivated.
My fifteen year old daughter just finished the Novel writing camp and really enjoyed it. After a semester of online learning, she didn't want anything that felt too much like school. The structure of the camp was well-paced. They had time to read, reflect, discuss, and write. The online format worked well and there was not really much time required outside of the 2.5 hours online. Carolyn came highly recommended from a friend and did not disappoint! We also ordered Carolyn's writing journal from Amazon so my daughter can continue with the prompt-based writing she liked so much this week.
