Reviews About Universal Publishers (United States)

2 years ago Jeff Young is very professional and supportive. He is a detail-oriented person and a great listener. He answered all my questions promptly and he is just so efficient and effective. I published my first book last year titled “Emotional Intelligence and Leadership Styles - Exploring the Relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Leadership Styles among Information Technology Professionals” with Universal Publishers, and the whole process was very pleasant. I would recommend Universal Publishers to authors without any reservation.

Universal Publishers did an admirable job in publishing my book, The Antikythera Mechanism: The Story Behind the Genius of the Greek Computer and its Demise (2021). I am delighted because my book brings to light the golden age of Greek science and civilization in the Alexandria Age. The bronze-geared Antikythera computer of genius, the second Parthenon, came out of that environment of advanced science and favorable politics. The astronomical computer predicted the eclipses of Sun and the Moon and the positions of the planets, constellations, and large stars, as well as the Olympics and other Panhellenic games. In other words, this beautiful and accurate computer united the heavens and Earth. It did all this for the public good. I urge you to read the book. It is the only book that gives the historical and scientific background that makes sense of this great computer.

Publishing with BrownWalker Press was a very smooth and professional process with help all along the way, from editing to preparation of illustrations. Editor Jeff Young is a very experience, informed and pleasant individual to work with, and his knowledge of publishing, including details book images is excellent. One great advantage of this press is the great reduction of time from submission to editing and publication, possible as much as half or less the time for an academic press. Too, the final product is outstanding. There are also many issues in publishing with a large academic press as opposed to BrownWalker. For example, one has to make sure that no one on the "board" of the press in question will disagree with your content; censorship is very common. Too, when published the book will normally be hidden in a large catalogue and very modest attention is given to advertising. I can without hesitation highly recommend BrownWalker!
