My Bio
My name is Samantha Rein Nanz, and I come from Bradenton, Florida. I am a 28-year-old author with a strong affinity for literature. I graduated from the local high school in 2016 and pursued further education at the prestigious State College of Florida. Despite facing notable health and mental challenges and navigating through various career transitions, I made the courageous decision to write and publish my first short story.
My early medical experiences have significantly influenced my life. Born with the rare condition of truncus arteriosus coarctation of the aorta, I underwent corrective surgeries, received a diagnosis of mitral valve prolapse, and discovered two holes in my heart. Despite coping with a residual issue, I am determined to not let my health dictate the course of my life. This unwavering resilience led to the creation and publication of my debut short story through Fulton Books. Currently, I am fully committed to my studies at the State College of Florida and am eagerly embracing the myriad of opportunities that lie before me.
I have previously been published through Fulton Books for my short story titled "Angel in the Shadows." I am currently enrolled at State College of Florida Manatee-Sarasota, pursuing an educational program in creative writing and psychology, both of which have inspired me to apply for and participate in this internship program. I am also in the process of writing my second book, "Room 18," which will be my first novel.
My goal in working with Alpha Book Publishing is to gain literary knowledge and skills to enhance my writing and editing capabilities in the future. Also, My work, "Angel in the Shadows," has been considered for the Frankfurt International Book Fair 2024.
