A Little Bit About Me
Ever since the lifting of Covid happened, it has always been hard for me to get back in the groove of staying motivated and trying to keep my grades up while also trying to maintain a healthy outside of school life. It has shaped my interest in writing and publishing by showing me that the only way to get back on track was through my love for learning how books are published.
I believe that having any experience with the background works of how books are published whether being paid or not, helps with your experience for future internships and job opportunities as well as it will look good on your resume.
Through Alpha Book Publisher, I am hoping to learn more about the process of editing manuscripts and everything else that this internship has to offer.
I love anything under the YA category, but I am open to reading anything. I believe that I am a fast learner, and I can contribute the information that I will be learning throughout this internship and the knowledge that I can learn from school.
A long-term career goal I have for myself in the publishing field is to one day help an aspiring author publish their work and it becomes one the famous and best books around the globe. Just as my long-term career goal, a significant impact I envision myself making is making that author's dream come true. I have not had any publishing experiences, but I do write my own stories and poems. My stories have somewhat influenced my passion for writing by seeing how other authors are able to relate to the reader, I would love for my words to be relatable to those that read them.
I haven't received any big awards for my writing but something small that I've experienced was being able to let those that are close to me read my work and tell me that they like what they're reading.
