A Little Bit About Me
Hello! My name is Victoria Thomas, but please call me Tori (Victoria is just too classy). I graduated from Arizona State University in the winter 2021 with my Filmmaking Practices degree with an unofficial emphasis in screenwriting. However, I have been an avid writer since I was in the 2nd grade, and I always find myself back at writing (and reading). It’s a passion I will take beyond the grave.
I like to call myself a fantasy realism writer- inserting magic in the world we live in past, present, or future. A part of me always clings to something more and I put that into my writing. My work always found its way to online forums: Quotev, Wattpad, and Tumblr. My professors oversaw my writing and were impressed with my ability to write magic so well in a screenplay, and on multiple occasions have told me it has the potential to be something special with hard work and more experience.
So here I am now, wanting to dive into the world of book publishing. In the long term I aspire to move into the editorial field to help other authors publish their best work, to publish a book or two of my own, or hopefully create book to movie adaptations. That is why I chose Alpha Book Publishing, I want to learn from the best. I strive to learn about and assist in all aspects of the book publishing industry for both myself and others, as there is nothing more I value than making sure people’s stories are heard.
